A Long Awaited Update! Oct 3, 2025
Things have changed a lot in the year plus since The Sweetness of Salt went on hiatus. Life has, for the most part, gotten a lot harder for me and everyone I care about. It’s become immeasurably more difficult for the folks who make the stories you care about.
So before I break my hiatus with this little blog update, please consider reading up on and taking action against pay discrimination and censorship. You can help!

On to the update!
In personal news, I got married last January!!! (hold the wedding, we are still saving.) I went to my first comic con, Chicago Zine Fest, and had what I can only describe as a spiritually nourishing experience. And I finally got help for the depression that necessitated my hiatus in the first place. Medication has been life-changing and you can probably thank therapy for TSOS coming back at all. It's been a lot, but better.
I can't wait to share what I've been working on, but for now, I have two exciting dates coming up:
This weekend, October 4th and 5th, I’ll be vending with Hemp Club Jewelry at Stronghold Olde English Faire in Oregon, IL. I’ll have TSOS stickers, original artwork, handmade sketch/notebooks, printed patches and more!
If you can’t come out to the faire, then keep an eye out - my online shop will open later this month :)
